Voice transcribe

KioStudio uses AI technologies to transcribe voice in videos to texts/subtitles, at the same time recognizes subtitles timings automatically

If you're a contents producer and have been manually creating subtitles, this is an especially useful tool to save you a lot of time.

1. Transcribe audio and create subtitles

At the videos list, click on the title of the video to access management page for that particular video as shown below.

Find the transcription language select box and select your video's language. Currently HanKio allows users to transcribe 78 languages: Afrikaans, Amharic, Arabic, Assamese, Azerbaijani, Bashkir, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Bengali, Tibetan, Breton, Bosnian, Catalan, Czech Republic, Welsh, Danish, German, Greek, English, Spanish, Estonian, Basque, Persian, Finnish, Faroese, French, Galician, Gujarati, Hausa, Hawaiian, Hebrew, Hindi, Croatian, Haitian Creole, Hungarian, Armenian, Indonesian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Javanese, Georgian, Kazakh, Khmer, Kannada, Korean, Latin, Luxembourgish, Lingala, Lao, Lithuanian, Latvian, Malagasy, Maori, Macedonian, Malayalam, Mongolian, Marathi, Malay, Maltese, Burmese, Nepali, Dutch, Norwegian (Nynorsk), Norwegian, Occitan, Punjabi, Polish, Pashto, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Sinhala, Slovak, Slovenian, Shona, Somali, Albanian, Serbian, Sundanese, Swedish, Swahili, Tamil, Telugu, Tajik, Thai, Turkmen, Tagalog, Turkish, Tatar, Ukrainian, Urdu, Uzbek, Vietnamese, Yiddish, Yoruba, Chinese. If you have a demand to transcribe any other language, please write an email to us and will try our best to add it to the list.

After you have selected the transcription language, click on "Transcribe" to start

A confirmation dialog will appear with details of the video's duration and the number of credits needed to proceed. If your balance (credits) is not sufficient, this action shall stop. You can access your account page to check your balance or purchase more credits as needed.

After you confirm, the transcription process shall start. Progress (%) shall be displayed on the screen. During this process, you can close the window if needed and come back to check the result later.

2. Features

  • Subtitles segments are synchronized with the video's timings, so when the video plays, subtitles shall scroll down accordingly. You can also turn of this synchronization feature if needed.
  • In case the video's language is Chinese, HanKio shall integrate KioReader function in the video's management screen, allowing you to look up dictionaries and enjoy all the feature of KioReader for the Chinese subtitles.
  • What you see in this page is also a complete subtitle editor, allowing you to add/delete subtitles segments, adjust timings using dragging actions. The sound waves below helps the users instantly recognize where the voice segments start or stop.
  • Sharing feature, allowing your team to collaborate on the same video
  • Download subtitles in SRT, VTT, or TXT formats
  • Support both Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese on a same interface.
  • Automatic subtitles translations, after which you can always make changes to ensure a more precise translation.
